COVID-19 pandemic: a qualitative evaluation of MSMEs survival strategies in Nigeria

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the introduction of protection measures, such as: Lockdown, social distancing, closure event centers, curfew, night clubs and discouragement gathering large crowd, among others. These measures have negatively impacted most business enterprises. This equally threatened corporate survival enterprises, especially micro, small medium enterprises (MSMEs). study examined chief executives MSMEs’ perspectives on strategies that were employed survive during Covid-19 in Nigeria. adopted exploratory research design. was conducted three purposively selected states (Lagos, Kano Anambra states) because account for largest concentration MSMEs across ethnic groups primary data gathered through in-depth interviews which 24 CEOs from Lagos, States. findings revealed adversely by pandemic.
